About me

Hi, I’m Scott Luria. Thanks for visiting my blog site. Here’s a little bit about my background.

I was born in Germany, where my father was a CIA operative, in 1954, and grew up in Washington DC. My education was at the DC public schools, MIT, George Washington University medical school, and a residency at Mount Auburn Hospital and the Harvard Community Health Plan. I met Jane Andrews, who was a nurse practitioner there, and we married in 1984.

We started our professional life in Provincetown Massachusetts, where I repaid my public health service scholarship, and moved in 1987 to Vermont, where I became an associate professor at the University of Vermont College of Medicine, practiced primary care internal medicine for 33 years, and raised our three children–Andrew, Jason, and Hope. I retired in 2020.

Let’s build something together.
